iCotz® Impregnator is a clear, penetrating, breathable surface treatment based on a monomeric alkylalkoxysilane. It is specifically intended for the water-repellant impregnation for use on concrete, brick masonry and natural stones.
The 100% silane solution will penetrate into the substrate to create a deep hydrophobic layer which prevents the ingress of water and water-borne contaminants from entering the substrate and causing premature deterioration. Besides being an excellent barrier against water and
chloride salt ions, iCotz® Impregnator can reduce in-place carrion of reinforced concrete. As possible pretreatments of the substrate are, however, unknown, it is always advisable to carry out a test to make sure that there are no undesirable accompanying effects.
